I have had the pleasure of coaching Lila Maggio for the past three years. Since the first time Lila stepped onto the field at Boonton High School, she has made a huge impact on the program! Lila has continued to grow as a field hockey player. Lila's ball control has allowed for her to be able to possess the ball down the field while eliminating multiple defenders. Lila can read the field well, which allows for her to make efficient passes to her open teammates as well as execute proficient shots on goal as a striker on offensive corners. I believe Lila's strength is her defense. She is able to use the appropriate tackles at the right time as well as position her body correctly to slow the opposing teams attack. Lila is a great leader both on and off of the field. I believe Lila will continue to grow as a field hockey player, and be successful at the collegiate level!
