Lauren Scorza

Lauren (Brooks) Scorza volunteered with the Rochester Field Hockey team in 2018, and made the transition to full-time Assistant Coach during the 2019 season.

During her time on the River Campus, she has helped lead the Yellowjackets to two NCAA appearances and a Liberty League title in 2019.

One of the top scorers in Syracuse University field hockey history, Scorza tallied 40 goals and 10 assists in her four-year career with the Orange. That goal total ranks Brooks sixth in school history and she is ranked 11th in school history in career points.

While at Syracuse, Brooks participated in four NCAA Division I Tournaments and helped the Orange earn two Big East titles (one tournament, one regular season). She also was on SU’s 2014 squad which reached the Division I National Championship game.

Brooks was a four-time NFHCA Academic Squad member. She also was selected to the NFHCA Senior All-Star Game in 2014 and earned NCAA Final Four All-Tournament Team accolades in 2012. In 2011, she was Big East Tournament MVP and was named to the Big East All-Tournament Team.

Lauren graduated from Syracuse in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in Dietetics with a minor in Exercise Science.
