Recruit Profile
Coachable, team player with strong field awareness, disciplined, determined, aggressive, passionate about the field hockey game, multi-sport athlete

I have been playing field hockey for 8 years. I think that my teammates and coaches would best describe me as determined, as well as optimistic. They think that I make them look good with my smart passing, but I just strive to be a leader in my game on and off the field. I try to encourage and help not just my teammates, but anyone who needs it. On the weekends, my family and I volunteer for 4 hours distributing food to those who are less fortunate. At my high school, I am involved in many leadership and community service clubs, which helps me grow as a person, as well as an field hockey player. I also work very hard in my academics. I am ranked 12th in my junior class, out of 136 students. I believe that if I continue my work ethic and compassion and bring all that I have learned in my life, into college, I will be a great college field hockey player.

Gabby has a great work ethic and positive attitude. She is also a superb communicator. She plays mostly in our midfield as she has tight possession skills, yet can also eliminate at pace and make incisive passes. Defensively, she's persistent and tough, knowing when to mark and when to hold a space to delay an attack. She has also played forward and back for us when necessary, and is able to adapt her decision making accordingly. She's happy to contribute to the team in any way she can and trusts her coaches and her teammates. I'm happy to talk more about Gabby as I think she would be a benefit to any program!
